Description:
Third grade long term classroom teacher sub through the end of the 2024-2025 school year, May 28.  Plan, teach, and carry out all functions related to teaching third grade in an elementary classroom setting.

Qualifications:
A valid Minnesota teaching license in K-6 Elementary Education.

Lester Prairie is a rural community located in eastern McLeod County on the edge of the western suburbs, 40 miles west of Minneapolis.  We have an enrollment of approximately 500 preK-12 students.

DESCRIPTION:
1. Provide leadership in the planning, development, and execution of the One Act Play by focusing on building a positive culture and developing quality relationships with student participants and parents
2. Implement an effective rehearsal program that maximizes participant performance
3. Communicate effectively with all program stakeholders to ensure a positive, quality experience is provided for our participants

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Prefer, but not required Minnesota teaching certification
2. Prefer, but not required, employment as a teacher in Lester Prairie School District
3. Previous experience in theater is desirable
4. Works collaboratively with students, parents and other members of the community
5. Effective interpersonal interactions and communication skills as applied to interaction with both youth and adults
6. Skilled in team building, decision making, problem solving, and conflict resolution
7. Ability to serve as an effective role model for student-athletes and represent Lester Prairie Schools with respect in all communities

Lester Prairie Public Schools is seeking a positive, self-directed, and highly motivated individual to serve as a Guidance/Academic/SEL and Career Counselor for Lester Prairie Schools. Required Qualifications

  • Licensed School Counselor or Licensed Social Worker in the State of Minnesota
  • Experience working with students in an academic/student support setting

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively
  • Strong student advocacy and relationship building
  • Detail oriented
  • Flexibility in work assignments, adjusting daily work schedule as needed

2. Under direction of Head Girls Basketball Coach, implement an effective training and competition program that maximizes student-athlete performance in the sport and ensures continuity through all levels
3. Communicate effectively with all program stakeholders to ensure a positive, quality experience is provided for our student-athletes
4. Manage equipment inventory for program

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Prefer, but not required, Minnesota teaching and coaching certification
2. Prefer, but not required, employment as a teacher in Lester Prairie School District
3. Previous coaching experience in assigned sport is desirable
4. Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport
5. Works collaboratively with students, parents, and other members of the community
6. Effective interpersonal interactions and communication skills as applied to interaction with both youth and adults
7. Skilled in team building, decision making, problem solving, and conflict resolution
8. Ability to serve as an effective role model for student-athletes and represent Lester Prairie Schools with respect in all communities
