Business Official Liaison
Position – Full time: 260 Days
Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000
Position Details:
Lester Prairie Public Schools is seeking a Business Official Liaison to start immediately. The Business
Official Liaison is responsible for various financial operations of the district as well as serving as an
assistant and connection between the district and outside agencies. This position will work with district
office staff and outside agency staff to assist with the management of the district finance-related
activities including, but not limited to, revenues, expenditures, budgets, taxes, investments, accounts
payable, and accounts receivable.
Applicants should have positive customer service skills, phone etiquette, good communication skills, be
responsible, flexible, helpful, have math and accounting skills, be self-directed and self-motivated. Must
have the ability to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with accounting, business administration, finance or closely related field preferred.
Training will be available if needed.
Strong Communication skills with the ability to get along with a variety of people
Experience in the accounting field in business or school environment or governmental accounting
Demonstrate leadership, customer service and team growth.
Functions of the position:
- Reports to the Superintendent
- Communicates with and assists outside agencies in the financial management of the district
- Assists with the annual operating budget
- Assists with the planning and preparation for the annual audit
- Assists the business operation of the Food Service program
- Assists with compiling annual levy information
- Assists in monitoring long-term debt obligations
- Assists in preparing State and Federal reports pertaining to district financial aid.  This includes maintaining for SEDRA, and all Federal awarded grants programs (Title I, II, IV, REAP etc.).
- Assists in preparing and submitting required reports to the Minnesota Department of Education.
- Assists with UFARS coding according to MDE guidelines
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations, ledger, and journal entries as required
- Attend School Board meetings as a resource person
- Responsible for all MARSS data compilation and reporting
- Kid’s Depot Supervisor
- Community Education Assistant
- Other duties as assigned

Description
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of the 7-12 Football program by focusing on building a positive culture and developing quality relationships with student-athletes and parents
- Implement an effective training and competition program that maximizes student-athlete performance in the sport, including strength training
- Provide direction and evaluation for assistant coaches in the program to ensure continuity through all levels
- Communicate effectively with all program stakeholders to ensure a positive, quality experience is provided for our student-athletes
- Manage equipment inventory and budget for program
- Perform other duties as outlined by the MSHSL, Coaches Handbook, and Section Tournament Administrators
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota coaching certification or meets acceptable criteria for non-licensed coach
- Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program
- Prefer previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport
- The Head Coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport
- Works collaboratively with students, parents, and other members of the community
- Effective interpersonal interactions and communication skills as applied to interaction with both youth and adults
- Skilled in team building, decision making, problem solving, and conflict resolution
- Ability to serve as an effective role model for student-athletes and represent Lester Prairie Schools with respect in all communities
