Welcome to the 2022-23 School Year!

My classes for this year are College Pre-Calculus, College Calculus, and College Essentials of Computer Science. A syllabus for each class can be found in the classes tab. Each student should have a 3-Ring Binder, Notebook or Loose Leaf Paper, Folder, Pencils, and a scientific calculator. Any scientific calculator will do such as the very popular TI-30XIIS

You do not need to purchase a graphing calculator. Graphing calculators are good investments if you plan to take future math classes at a post-secondary institution but they are not required.

So a little bit about me. I grew up not too far away in Silver Lake. I graduated from Glencoe-Silver Lake in 2009. After that, I pursued my interest in Math Education at the University of Minnesota, Duluth where I graduated in 2013 with my Bachelor of Applied Science in Teaching Mathematics. I spent the next five years teaching in Pierz, MN at Pierz Healy High School. I completed my Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Mathematics at Southwest Minnesota State University in the spring of 2021. This will be my fifth year in Lester Prairie. I am excited to be back for another school year teaching College Math and Computer Science Classes.

I am a big sports fan. I have played football and baseball throughout my life. I like to watch and attend the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, and Wild games. I got into the sport of hockey when I was in college at UMD. Go Bulldogs! It was exciting to be in attendance in 2018 when they won their second national championship. I wished I could have been in Buffalo, NY in 2019 when they won their third national championship. My other hobbies include working on cars and computers, reading, movies, playing guitar, and spending time with my German Shepherd named Zeus.
