SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR RADIAL ARM SAW

1. Make sure that the saw is back against the stop before turning on the power. Do not let wood rest against blade when starting.

2. Make sure wood is tight against the back stop on both sides of the blade.

3. Never put one piece of wood on top of another when cutting.

4. This saw pulls itself into the work and is necessary to hold the saw back in some hardwoods to prevent the saw from choking.

5. Do not pull the saw out and hit a board to stop it faster.

6. Avoid working across the saw line. This is known as cross-arming.

7. Never ripsaw, only crosscut.

8. If the saw vibrates away from the post the machine is out of order and must reported to instructor at
once.

9. Turn safety key off when switching blades. Better yet unplug.
