Lester Prairie Return-to-School Plan

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

I am thrilled and honored to begin my sixth year serving as Superintendent for Lester Prairie School District #424. Thank you for your partnership as we work together to make sure all of our learners have a successful school experience!

The Lester Prairie School District staff and I are excited about this upcoming school year. Alongside our excellent academic programs, sports, and activities, we have a district-wide PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program, advisories in the high school, and 2B Continued and TOP 20 programs supporting positive mental health. At Lester Prairie Schools, we are committed to caring for each other, providing a quality education, and honoring and supporting the gifts of every student.

The Lester Prairie School District lives out its mission of developing every learner’s maximum potential to succeed and continue to learn in a changing world. Our students experience the advantages of small class sizes, updated curriculum, and technology that includes iPads, MAC Computers, SMART Boards, Chromebooks, and Chrome Tablets. We are a one-to-one school district for all K-12 students! Professional Development opportunities for staff support the high-quality academic experience for students. School belonging is enhanced by school-wide programs such as PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports), TOP 20, and 2B Continued. We are also proud of the many extracurricular opportunities available to our students.

As your Superintendent, I am dedicated to a high-quality school experience for all students that meets their individual needs. In partnership with the community and families, we will foster a positive and productive learning environment with best-practice instruction in a relationship-rich learning environment. Creating a learning community focused on success and school belonging for all is a firm commitment of mine.

We know that the success of our students is a partnership of school staff, families, and community members. Within this partnership at school, our students are supported by the collaborative work of coaches, teachers, administration, bus drivers, custodial staff, paraprofessionals, student support staff, food service, and secretaries. I look forward to working with all of you as we build on the excellence, further the collective purpose, and facilitate the mission of Lester Prairie Schools.
